Please see the photos for exact condition of this bottle, however I think it fair to say that the label is in a fairly sorry state of repair, the wax capsule is far from intact and the level is as you see it.

Still, what you can read upon close inspection, is that this is from 1948, made by Quinta do Noval and is a Late Bottle Vintage, all of which of course make this a bit of a rarity. I cannot vouch for the provenance of this other than to say that I was assured by the chap I got it from that it had been in a cellar until about 1 month ago - this was part of a house clearance in west London as I understand it. If nothing else, this is a piece of history.

Very happy to ship overseas and to consolidate with any of my other auctions for delivery purposes.
