Beautiful rare 1963 port ...Lovely old bottle of deliciousness from one of the greatest vintage years

Stored in a cellar and now in my Eurocave..slight damage to the wax seal on the top, but otherwise a beautiful bottle.

The 1963 vintage was exceptional and no other vintage can claim such a roll of classic vintage ports. The Ferreira port house is hugely underrated when it comes to discussing the great ports and this year is testament to that fact. The 1963 has figs, raisins and dried fruit on the nose with an interesting touch of sous-bois, it has great acidity despite being on the sweeter side of ports of this age. The finish is extraordinary and the complexity on the palate is evident. A well-crafted and complete port with robust and rich flavours.
