Description

1 x bottle in great shape except no labels !! Vintage and producer stamped on capsule top (see photo).
The Fonseca 1966 Vintage port had a russet rim around an intense brick- red centre. The nose is elegant and restrained, with very fine dark berry fruit at the core. The fruit is enveloped in a subtle aura of floral scents and notes of aromatic wood. Dense and firm on the palate, still delivering a youthful fruitiness alongside warm flavoʻurs of liqourice and black coffee. The Fonseca 1966 is without any doubt one of the finest ports of this exceptional year.
Current prices (ex vat) seem to be north of £250.
