Description

From the excellent 1970 vintage.
The label is a tiny bit scruffy but overall is complete.
The level as per photos.
Embossed capsule shows very slight corrosion to the cap but not allowing any seepage.

Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition
Jan 1998 Robert M. Parker
The 1970 is a top-flight effort for Haut-Batailley, and a wine that behaves in personality and character like a true Pauillac, rather than a St-Julien. Rather rich and full for Haut-Batailley, with a good, firm underpinning of tannins still evident, this dark ruby wine has a complex bouquet and fine long finish.

and apart from one low level faulty bottle all are rapturous reviews.
