Minor wear on the capsule and a couple of tiny nicks in the label. High level considering its age. Should be a beauty.

The 1989 single-vineyard Cote Roties are magnificent. Reminiscent of Guigal's 1985s and 1982s, the black/purple-colored La Landonne possesses fabulous concentration, and a sweet, expansive personality. It has plenty of tannin, but there is so much fruit that the tannin is largely concealed. This is another mammoth-sized wine with extraordinary extract. Anticipated maturity: 1999-2020. Last tasted 7/96. 98 Points Robert Parker Rhone Book, 1997

Youngest looking (of the three Guigal 1989s). Very vibrant blueish crimson. Sweet, velvety, melded but rawer than La Mouline 1989. Deep, chewy, nutty and very very hard tannins. Palate is out of sync with the nose. Medium intensity. No fun at the moment 18 points Jancis Robinson(last tasted 1998)
