“Near perfect, giving you everything you want in a young German Riesling. Extremely intense honeysuckle, rose, peach and mineral aromas. Medium-bodied, very concentrated and racy, with only a hint of sweetness up front and a long, dry, minerally finish.” 93 points Wine Spectator

“This is a massive, massive wine that is years away from being ready to drink. A leaking bottle that I feared might be advanced given the signs of seepage all over the label, but nope. At first it's a mass of ripe tropical fruit and honey, but with more time (this was double decanted 6 hours before serving) it opens out and an array of floral, spicy, smoky, and sweet vanilla cream notes also emerge to add to the fruit. There's tremendous sweetness and richness here but it's very well balanced by that powerful '90 acidity, and this has a remarkably polished, almost glossy texture on the palate with spectacular length.” 96 points. July 2016

“This was an interesting wine and a real treat. At first it seemed round, sweet and soft, but after swallowed the acids came in and really lifted the wine, framing the wild tropical fruit and honey flavors nicely. This really adheres to the palate and lingers nicely. With air, this continued to improve and became more precise... stellar wine with lots of upside.” 95 points. July 2016
