Tasted by b.dylan on 12/8/2010 & rated 88 points: Golden yellow colour. Nose was shy, but definately Chenin, honey, pears and mushrooms. Very young for its age but not showing much. Body was medium, had high acidity but flavour concentration was not high enough. Had the finesse and texture of a great wine but was not showing very much, like a fallen from grace aristoctat, can sense its provenance but for sure has known better times... Yet in the case of the wine I do not mean that it was old or that it won't get better, just that altough it showed breed it was not up to it. (420 views)
Tasted by dbp on 9/19/2010 & rated 89 points: On day one I just noted that this was much lighter in flavor and complexity than the previous bottle. On day two, I get quite a bit of pine aromas, some wood stain, cooked pineapple, and perhaps some tree bark. Viscous in the mouth with some initial bright white fruit components, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, pine... Not sticky or overly sweet at all, but very soft and mild. The finish is initially empty, but then begins to blossom a bit as it lingers, expressing some floral and candied wax components. Very light over all... same score as yesterday. (729 views)
