Description

Ric Forman planted his vines in 1979 in the hills above St.Helena at the base of Howell mountain in California.

"Influenced early on by the wines and winemaking practices of the Bordeaux region of France, I have consistently sought a similar perfection for the wines of Forman Vineyard. If I had to choose two words which embody the character of Forman Vineyard wines they would be finesse and elegance.
As a sole proprietor, I have the luxury of personally nurturing the wines during every stage of production – from harvest, through blending, bottling and aging. In an age of anonymous ownership, this type of hands-on approach to winemaking is growing ever rarer. For me, it is the only way great wines can be crafted and made to share with an appreciative few".

Although the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon is not currently being retailed in the UK,according to WineSearcher,three retailers in the UK are currently selling the 1992 (mentioned below) for between £130 and £150 per bottle

The last three tasting notes on Cellartracker of The 1993 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon:-

"After drinking the 92 and being quite impressed, I tried this. I did not expect it to also be on, but you know what, this was just a bit better than the 92. Thank you to Chad for both bottles. Very similar. Ruby in color. The nose has dust, cassis and slight earthiness. On the palate, this is just a bit fresher and more in balance than the 92. The acidity is not as strong. slight tannins. Complex and layered. Still on the downside of peak but this bottle anyway is a bit younger (I know it is one year younger). Great showing".

"Drinking so youthfully fresh. Concentrated plush cherry and plum fruit. Loaded with spice, tobacco leaf and cedar. Suave tannin and juicy acidity. The full package and drinking much younger than 22 years".

"Opened at home with the kids. Similar profile as previous bottle with black fruits, violet, lavender and some graphite as well. Still holding well".

"Smooth right out if the bottle, complexity appears simple at first ️but develops soon afterwards. Acidity is mild. Bony turbid, the fruit is deep.

What a pleasure to drink!!!!!!!".
