"Fortia's 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape is a more structured,backward,muscular rendition of the 1994.It will not be as delicious and flattering young,but it has the potential to surpass the 1994 after 4-5 years of cellaring.It will turn out to be a 15-20 year wine.The color is an opaque deep purple,and the wine offers up a tight but promising nose of sweet cassis and blueberry fruit.Purely made,with a wonderful texture,a structured feel,and plenty of grip,this is a full-bodied,admirably endowed,backward wine with terrific flavor intensity.I also admired its focus and delineation.How thrilling it is to see this famous Chateauneuf du Pape make such dazzling wines".
