TWO bottles of each vintage '96 and '98.
All four bottles in excellent order. Poujeaux enjoys an excellent reputation and makes seriously good wines - consistently.

All levels are In Neck, and all four labels and capsules are similarly in good order.

Neal Martin 90
Much more fruit concentration on the nose. Blackberry, redcurrant and cranberry. Good intensity and lift. Well-structured, slightly peppery palate with firm tannins. Good balance and delineation. Pain grille, blackberry and earth. Focused and good length. Very fine. Tasted September 2006.

Deep crimson red. Nose classic lifted nose of blackcurrant, cedar and cigar box. Touches of licorice and fresh flowers. Palate medium weight and well defined fruit character. Great length and savoury finish. Well balanced and complex for appellation and year. Now open and mature. Great food wine. 91.
