"Delas has now become one of the most serious players in the northern Rhone.The man responsible for the extraordinary improvement in quality is Jacques Grange(arrival 1997).In summary,the quality of the Delas wines is stunning,as the house has previously been known for its allegiance to mediocrity.The surge in quality begins with Grange's first vintage 1997".

I am unable to find a Parker tasting note for the Seigneur de Maugiron 1997.However,there is one tasting note only on CellarTracker and that reads as follows:-
"Stunning.Rich nose of bacon fat,smoke,sweat,earth and herbs.Balanced and tart palate,with excellent complexity that finishes long.This seems to be hitting its stride,but should be good for years".
