Zind-Humbrecht's wines have a great abilty to age well for many years,as the following tasting notes testify:-

"Produced from 30h/h yields,the 1997 Pinot Gris Rotenberg offers a crystalline nose of steel,chalk,and minerals.It is sublimely precise,balanced,and focused.This medium to full-bodied wine's gun flint-dominated flavour has the stuffing,equilibriun,and concentration to enable it to age gracefully for 20 years or more".

"Aromas of white orchard fruit, white and yellow stone fruit and honey with smoke and mineral notes. Rich and full-bodied, but with good acidity to keep it quite balanced -- exactly what you expect from great Pinot Gris. Amazing what Zind Humbrecht does and how long they can age as this was still mainly primary with some secondary notes emerging. Nicely concentrated with good length".
