All from a previously unopened wooden case.

In perfect condition.

1997 Vintage Port - Niepoort is a family company now in its fifth generation and presently managed by Dirk Niepoort. Despite being the second smallest shippers in the trade they are second to none in quality. Already famous for their classic tawny ports, they have now joined the ranks of the great producers of Vintage Port. "Niepoort is to Vintage Port what Krug is to Champagne. They are both small houses in a world dominated by large competitors but they are producing outstanding wines which very few can match." (James Suckling, Vintage Port). Niepoort 1997 Vintage Port is approachable now will develop well, with careful cellaring, over the next 10 to 20 years.

"The greatest modern vintage of Niepoort. Shows a black colour and intense aromas of crushed berries and wet earth, with a slight stemminess. Full-bodied and mouthpuckering, this young body builder of a Port has loads of fruit and powerful tannins. Amazingly long finish. Best after 2009." 98 points Wine Spectator.
