This wine received 13 Gold Medals and 3 Trophies (8 of the awards are named in gold and wreathed around the top of the label) across Australia in every state (including Hobart,Tasmania).It was also awarded first place in the 2001 Great Australian Wine Challenge in 2001. James Halliday awarded this wine 96 Points.

"Deep red-purple;an outstanding wine with an abundance of rich,ripe,dark cherry and plum fruit,with great depth and structure to an outstanding palate.Certainly,oak plays a role,but it is both balanced and integrated.Placed 1st in the Great Australian Wine Challenge".
