Description

Bollinger's vintage rosé is made from blending red and white wines, all from grands and premiers crus vineyards. The first fermentation takes place in 5 years old or older oak casks. This is to ensure that neither tannin or oak flavours are imparted to the wine. This increases the aromatic complexity of the wine.


Tasting Notes;

If it weren't for the bubbles, I would think of this as a pinot. The concentration of the fruit is extraordinary and the balance is superb. There's a toasty finish, which was unexpected considering this is a young rose, but it provides such a lovely complement to the fruit stuffing. This is definitely worth holding for a few years, though it's also easy to say it's such an enjoyable experience right now, even for the high cost.
