Description

Two lots of THREE bottles, all fresh out of their original wooden case and only recently released from The Wine Society storage under optimal conditions.

One of the best from Moulis; on a par with Chasse Spleen and Poujeaux.

The 72 hectares are planted with 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. Aged in oak - 50 - 70% new depending on the vintage.

A modern style, silky, opulent nose of sweet black fruits. Perhaps too much oak. The palate is very concentrated with dense black fruits amid layers of black chocolate. The new oak dominates proceedings at the moment. The finish is very stylish with restrained power. This has great potential. Tasted May 2004.
