Description

In 2009 Michel Chapoutier produced some great wines in Portugal and one of the most remarkable Portuguese wines ever (excluding Port).It was the first year of the production of the Pinteivera and to date this vintage has been by far Chapoutier's best.Because of the professional tasters high points ratings (see below) this wine has become as rare as gold dust! The wine tasting notes below are evidence why this limited production,high quality Portuguese wine has become a rarity and is impossible to find retailing anywhere in the world!
In view of Robert Parker's accolade as Portugal's greatest ever wine,going forward, (apart from being superb drinking) these bottles should be serious collector's items:-

"Bass notes of roasted mesquite and ganache support the fig and currant core,with lots of singed bay leaf,charcoal and espresso to fill in on the finish,where a black tea note echoes in the background.Shows serious muscle,but riveting acidity keeps it all harnessed",
