Description

A rare 6-bottle vertical lot of "Le Sec," the dry white wine produced by the prestigious 1er Grand Cru Classé estate, Château de Rayne Vigneau, located in the commune of Bommes within the Sauternes region.

This lot features two of the most legendary vintages in Bordeaux history: 1989 and 1990. While the estate is world-famous for its sweet wines, "Le Sec" is their highly regarded dry expression, crafted with the same precision and terroir.

Condition Report & Provenance:

• Fill Levels: Excellent levels for the age (into the neck).

• Appearance: The wine shows a deep, clear golden-amber hue, which is characteristic of aged Sémillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends from this specific terroir.

• Label Condition: Please note that several labels show staining (as visible in photos). This is not due to leakage from these bottles; it was caused by an external Champagne bottle stored above them in the cellar which "wept" over the labels. The capsules on all 6 bottles remain original, firm, and show no signs of seepage.

A fascinating lot for collectors of aged Bordeaux Blanc or those interested in the dry output of top-tier Sauternes producers.
