Description

Vizcarra use a modern 100% gravity-fed wine production facility, but they work with some very old Ribera del Duero vineyard plots.

The "Ines" cuvee is produced from 50 year old Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vines, with just a small amount of Merlot blended in.

Here is Jay Miller's Wine Advocate review:
"The 2006 Ines Vizcarra spent 15 months in 500-liter French oak. It offers up a superb aromatic array, of pain grille, pencil lead, espresso, incense, black cherry, and blackberry. Packed and stacked, this dense, masculine wine demands 8-10 years of additional bottle age. There are tons of extract and a boatload of tannin, but it has the balance to age gracefully in the manner of a top-flight Bordeaux. Its prime drinking window will extend from 2016 to 2036."

One to lay down for a few more years I think, and it should then be magnificent!
