A Blanc de Noirs is a white Champagne make exclusively from red grapes like Pinot Meunier, one of the local red grape also used for Brut Champagne. Authentic Meunier is a great example of Blanc de Noirs and was a true discovery for us! It is a fruity, round and supple Champagne, often described as masculine, by opposition to a Blanc de Blancs, usually more feminine. So if you are looking for a Champagne with a strong personality made by a true winemaker, this bottle is for you!

A vintage Champagne is only elaborated during an especially good vintage, and receives the greatest possible care from the winemaker. This 2008 is a great example of a complex vintage Champagne, with delicate aromas of yellow fruit, spice and nutty notes. Finally Extra Brut means that there is almost no sugar, making the aromas as pure as possible. Perfect to discover what high-end vintage Champagne means!

Michel Loriot is also known as one of the best Pinot Meunier winemakers in Champagne and his Authentic Meunier is a stunning Blanc de Noir. This grape is the main constituent of his Champagnes, with some Chardonnay and Pinot Noir as the prefect complement.

Michel Loriot’s Champagnes regularly receive awards and are highly marked by critics, which is quite something in the Champagne world where prestigious houses usually get most of the rewards.
