A blend of 70% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2008 Beausejour Duffau-Lagarrosse is deep garnet-colored, with a hint of brick. Notes of black cherry compote, blueberry preserves, and raspberry coulis spring playfully from the glass, backed up by a perfume of rose oil and spearmint, plus a touch of new leather. The full-bodied palate is packed with layers of black and red berry preserves, supported by fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and perfumed. Nice! (96/100)
