Description

A beautiful bottle of 1919 Haut-Brion. Quite simply the oldest Bordeaux wine on record (If memory serves correct, Chateau Haut-Brion was mentioned by Samuel Pepys in his diaries) - an incredibly difficult bottle to acquire and an exceptional vintage.
Good label bearing the name of M Larrieu (owners of Ch Haut Brion between 1801-1922). The fill level is at its low shoulder (which is expected for a bottle that is turning 95).
The label is quite heavily stained but in good condition, which is understandable for something of this vintage. An incredible opportunity to purchase a bottle steeped in history and great provenance.
