From Robert Parker, 93+pt rating, drinking window 2009-2029, reviewed by the man himself in 2009
Believe it or not, the 1990 Leoville Barton can actually be drunk - something that cannot be said about the broodingly backward, still excruciatingly tannic 1982. The exceptionally concentrated 1990 reveals more polished, sweeter tannins along with a big, sweet kiss of black currant, forest floor, cedar, and spice box notes. While it still has some tannins to shed, this full-bodied, powerful, long wine is approachable. It should continue to evolve for another two decades.

This bottle was part of a case of 6 bought at auction in the early 2000s. I have drunk 2 of them, one exceptional note, 1 seemingly corked. Selling 1 and keeping 3.

The wine has been stored in my cellar since purchase, level is into Neck and there is very minor discoloration of the label.

Lowest single bottle price on wine-searcher is £120 IB, so approx £146 DP inc VAT. reserve set at £100.
