What a stunning experience. This 35-year-old Pauillac is everything you hope for in a mature Bordeaux. The nose was rich and complex — full of cedar, leather, and a touch of earthy truffle. Still some dark fruit hanging on, but beautifully integrated with all the classic aged notes.
It was silky and deep, with softened tannins and loads of character. Layers of old wood, dried herbs, long, elegant finish — just a perfect example of how well a great LB can age.
