Description

We have 2 bottles of the fantastic Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1967 vintage.

These are our last 2 bottles of 67'

This first growth status vineyard produces some of the best wine ever produced. This particular vintage is exceptional, the renowned Mouton Rothschild produce excellent wine from every vintage. It is rare to find such a bottle in such good condition - let alone 2 together.

Both bottles show slight staining to the labels as you would expect for bottles of this age. Fill levels are also consistent with age. (one at low shoulder the other into the neck) The foils on both bottles are intact and show no sign of seepage.

Château Mouton Rothschild has its vineyards near Gironde Estuary in the Bordeaux region, mainly producing Cabernet Sauvignon. Their wine is fermented in traditional oak vats and then matured in new oak casks which adds to their popularity, this historically sought after vintage has been described by world leading experts as 'the bordeaux from which to measure all other bordeaux'

This vintage will keep for years to come making it an ideal investment or a great bottle for a special occasion. It continues to get the best possible tasting notes from those lucky enough to have a glass (or 4) -

"The surprise of the evening was a very fresh and pleasant 1967 Mouton Rothschild, which had nice spice once its touch of Windex blew off. The palate was lean, but still a fighting machine. It was a balanced and tasty wine with a gently lingering finish. It just goes to show that great producers make good, age-worthy wines every vintage."

Both bottles have been kept together in temperature controlled cellar for the last 10 years.
