Description

Two bottles of the eponymous Chateau Musar 1991 in excellent condition. I purchased them from the cellar of a Cambridge college some years ago and they've been stored in my purpose built cellar ever since. Levels are excellent, the labels just slightly damp affected. I have over a case of this wine and need space for other things...

Cellartracker notes for a bottle from the same case recently shared at a tasting. N.B. These are other people's notes:

'I love this lily of the valley V/A nose followed by the rich sweet fruit and all the herbs and spices. Fresh, multi-layered and it goes on and on. Brilliant.'

'Perfection? Not quite yet. But I think in another 10 years or so it will be. This embodies everything that Musar is at its best: pure, deep, expressive fruit, some untamed wildness, richness but amazing vitality and liveliness, too. Its only fault is that the fruit still seems so primary whereas I like some aged aspects to my fruit. This seems to me one of the most promising young (and yes, it still is young) Musars.'
