Description

One full bottle of Ch Rieussec 2009 and two half bottles of the 2010.

Both are drinking perfectly now. The 2010 is a slightly lighter year and is possibly now at its peak. Very soft, creamy and peachy. The 2009 on the over hand was one of the greatest vintages Sauterne has ever seen and although wonderful to drink now it will probably outlive me (im 41). Very Rich structured and complex. The Wine advocate gave this 98 points. Neal Martin 97 points. (the 2010 gets 90 points so hardly a dud)

Hopefully this is a nice little lot for the festive period. I like to drink them with blue cheese. They keep very well in the fridge once opened.

Both vintages were bought en primeur and stored at Octavian from their arrival in the UK until earlier this year. They have spent the last few months in my Eurocave.
