Description

Genuinely one of the great white wines of the world. I have had this wine 7 times since December 2010 with each bottle being excellent and supporting the producer's great reputation for this wine fully. I scored the wine 18 points out of 20 and I tend to be a critical scorer.

Per Wine Spectator: Sourced from a small Clos within the Rosacker Grand Cru. The 1992 is fuller and more concentrated than the 1991. It has a classic minerally Riesling nose and a full, fat, petrolly gunflint palate. In style the 1992 lies between 1988 and 1989. It is outstanding and already approachable. 93 pts.

Per Clive Coates MW: 'Lovely fragrant Riesling nose. Ample fruit. Ripe, stylish and very pure. Medium weight. Not the greatest depth or concentration. Nor the greatest complexity. But balanced and elegant and enjoyable. A point. Very good indeed.'
