Description

Original seal still attached, never been opened. Has been stored in the wine cellar at home.

The harvest
The year was marked by an exceptional summer. Spring was somewhat dull and the late, though rapid, flowering was offset by the heat wave conditions beginning in the late June. Rainfall was slight for two months. There were sporadic storms with temperatures above the seasonal average for the past 30 years. Harvest began on September 18th for the chardonnay and on the 25th for the pinot noir.

On nose
The brioche and honey tones quickly blend with fresh almond and apricot embellished by hints of smokiness.

On palate
After the upfront intensity and roundness, there is a gradual tension which becomes persistent, vibrant, pure, mineral and fruity.
