Description

A rare opportunity to sample aged New Zealand Pinot from an great vintage. Stored in temperature controlled cellar since release until a few weeks back, where it was placed into a non-temperature controlled but still cool cellar.

I opened one of these today and the fruit was intact, very fresh with lots of cherry notes blending excellently with secondary and tertiary aromas. Brilliant, and I expect this bottle will be much the same.

Fill level excellent, as you can see in the photos.

Label slightly nicked but barely so.

Dog Point is a foremost producer of Pinot in the region, and as far as I can see operates fairly un interventionist, much like Burgundian producers, which I suspect may have aided it's longevity.

There are certainly very few examples of aged NZ Pinot in the UK, so definately unique.

Selling as bought a few too many and need more space in my cellar!
