Description

A gracefully matured Pinot Noir from one of Savigny-lès-Beaune’s finer premier cru plots, this 1996 Clos des Guettes from Domaine A-F Gros presents a rare opportunity to acquire a well-aged Burgundy from a refined site and respected producer. While the overall 1996 vintage faced cooler conditions, this wine exemplifies how precision, vineyard site and cellaring transform such years into elegant, subtle expressions.

Domaine A-F Gros was established when Anne-Françoise Gros (of the Gros family) and François Parent teamed up in 1988. The estate sources from prime Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits parcels and is increasingly recognised among Burgundy enthusiasts for clarity of terroir and sophisticated finesse. (“Clos des Guettes” in particular is regarded as one of Savigny’s top premier cru vineyards.)

Excellent bottle condition with pristine label and capsule; fill level in neck. Provenance from a well-maintained private cellar.
