Description

This is the lowest yielding vineyards of the estate, where 60 year vines produced just 35 hl/ha and the concentration of flavours is immediately apparent in the glass. Les Preuses exudes opulence on the nose with powerfully intense weight and a long, nutty, intense finish with firm mineral complexity in the mouth. A great wine in the making and one for the long term.

Burghound gave it 94 points but I can't find the tasting note. Sorry.

"...(from vines in excess of 60 years of age and a yield of just 35 hectoliters per hectare) Pretty, nicely defined aromas of grapefruit, mint, flowers and almond. Rich, dense, smooth and classy; this has compelling volume and an impressively enveloping texture. Really expands in the middle and builds on the back end. Full, sappy, fruity grand cru with great finesse. Dominated today by a flavor of thoroughly ripe grapefruit."
