Description

This is the lowest yielding vineyards of the estate, where 60 year vines produced just 35 hl/ha and the concentration of flavours is immediately apparent in the glass. Les Preuses exudes opulence on the nose with powerfully intense weight and a long, nutty, intense finish with firm mineral complexity in the mouth. A great wine in the making and one for the long term.

"Drinking nearly perfectly. Focused and yet some richness more akin to a Cote Beaune Grand Cru white Burg. Lovely stuff."

"An expressive and still almost completely primary nose of citrus and sea breeze suffused aromas that carry abundant notes of Chablis character are followed by silky, pure and wonderfully well-balanced flavors blessed with ample dry extract that display a deft touch of minerality, all wrapped in an incredibly long finish that is both tangy and mouth coating. This really benefitted from an hour's worth of aeration and in magnum format, this should easily last for 20 years, perhaps longer as this is still notably tight and young. In a word, terrific."
