Description

An unopened 12 bottle case in this auction. I can't find this anywhere in the world on Wine-Searcher.

"Michel and son Cedric Chignard’s unfined and unfiltered U.S. cuvee of 2009 Fleurie Les Mories (assembled from three different lots) features dark cherry, cassis, and purple plum tinged with mace, moss, wet stone, and bitterness of cherry pit. With a fine sense of richness but fine-grained tannins hidden beneath its surface, and an incipient sense of meatiness, this grips formidably and should prove worth following for at least 3-4 years."

Wine Advocate: 88/90 points

2009 was a wonderful vintage and delivered ample and tight wines. This wine displays a structure and amplitude rarely reached in Beaujolais. The tannins still need to soften and there is no hurry to drink.

The most recent note on cellartracker is from May 2018 and says:

"These cru Beaujolais can be just so delicious and Kermit Lynch is always a good source of fine wine. Purchased in 2010, this bottle aged well in the cellar. Dark purple in color with no signs of age, the wine is seamless in texture with creamy red strawberry, cherry, faint pomegranate balanced nicely by notes of sandalwood, garden herbs, earth, and faint mineral. The wine is pure elegance and balance, perfectly mature and drinking in good window. Should hold fine for a few more years, although not sure it will improve."
