Description

Silex is assembled from old-vine parcels selected for the high percentage of silex (flint) in their soils. It was fermented and matured in an assortment of cigar-shaped oak barrels, which were constructed according to the domaine’s specifications. Tasting this wine in early 2023, colour is very pale lemon-green, aromas being tight, layered and aromatic. Palate is totally captivating, showing complex, ripe, spiced citrus flavours, which interweave with floral tones and flinty minerality. This is a tightly-wound, creamily-textured wine, with well-defined structure and generous middle, the finish being fresh and persistent (for drinking 2023-2030+).
