Bourghound 93-95p:
(Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru Red) Here too the nose is quite ripe yet remains fresh and inviting with its more elegant combination of spice and floral elements adding breadth to the red currant, plum, violet and underbrush scents where there is just enough wood to remark upon. The more refined and highly energetic medium weight plus flavors also display more evident minerality on the sleek, focused and explosively long finale. I very much like the interplay of dry extract, tannin and supporting acidity as the sense of harmony and vibrancy is lovely. (Drink starting 2032)
