Description

A chance to acquire a bottle of port fom the great 1955 vintage. The wax seal has broken and the label lost; but the level is superb being into neck; wine is clear and bright when a light is shone through the bottle. This is a bottle from a case of Dow 1955 that was stored for many years in a damp, Northamptonshire farmhouse cellar, only emerging to conclude the estate following the death of the owner.

Michael Broadbent in his "Vintage Wine" gives it 5 stars and states "worth seeking".

This wine will cost you £270+ from a broker, even more in that plush wine shop. So get bidding and get a good deal!
