Description

1 x 750ml Château Septy 1985 (Monbazillac AOC)

• 1 x 750ml Château de Berbec 1985 (Premières Côtes de Bordeaux - Gabarnac AOC)

• Vintage: 1985

• Style: Sweet / Botrytized Dessert Wine

Description:
A superb opportunity to acquire two bottles of 40-year-old French dessert wine from the highly-regarded 1985 vintage. These wines are known for their incredible longevity and rich, honeyed profiles. Both bottles have matured to a deep, clear amber/burnt-orange hue, which is a characteristic sign of high-quality aged botrytized wine.

Provenance & Storage:
These bottles have impeccable provenance, sourced from a professional-grade private cellar in St George’s Hill, Weybridge. They have been stored undisturbed in cool, dark, and stable conditions since original purchase, ensuring the best possible preservation for their age.

Condition Report:

• Ullage (Fill Level): Excellent / High Fill. Both bottles show fill levels high into the neck. This indicates a perfect airtight seal and exceptional preservation over four decades.

• Appearance: The liquid remains bright and clear. Note: The Château Septy shows some natural dark tartrate/sediment on the interior of the glass, which is entirely typical for an unfiltered sweet wine of this vintage.

• Labels/Capsules: Labels and capsules are in very good original condition with light "cellar patina" consistent with professional long-term storage.
