Lot 144
Presented in original gift box.
The debut 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from two parcels, one on the Pernand side and the other on the Ladoix side.
Smoky notes of mineral reduction add breadth to the equally cool and airy nose of green apple, crushed fennel, citrus and a plenitude of floral wisps. The attractively refined if not especially dense medium weight flavours possess an appealing texture that carries over to the markedly stony bitter lemon zest and bone-dry finale. This well-made effort is very much built to reward extended cellaring and will need at least some as it needs to develop better depth. - Allen Meadows, June 2024.
Dreweatts are very strict about the provenance of wine we offer for sale, but also conscious that White Burgundy can be subject to levels of pre-oxidation, especially those produced between 1990-2008. Please be aware that Dreweatts, as per our terms and conditions, cannot offer a refund against any wine purchased that is out of condition.
