Description

The 2016 Calvert Pinot Noir has a little more definition on the nose than the 2016, featuring a mixture of red and black fruit tinged with black truffle and smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with red berry fruit, tomato vine, a touch of white pepper and an elegant finish that perhaps just misses the harmony and persistence of the previous vintage. Nevertheless, this is still very pretty and succinct Pinot Noir that should age well in bottle if so desired. Neal Martin - Vinous 92/100 pts.
