Saturated cork, came out easily, but no signs of leaking. Beautiful developed colour, still a core of red. Gorgeous nose with tertiary aromas of leather, tobacco, raisin and nuts, but also still plenty fruit with strawberries and dark cherries. Same characteristics on the palate plus a lovely minty freshness, licorice, bay leaf and asian spice. Mid-weight, long and very well-balanced. Maybe not the most powerful bottle, but intensely beautiful.

Very delicious. A joy to drink. Gorgeous black cherry with new leather, Christmas spices, tobacco, and walnuts. Silky mouthfeel with lively acidity. Long, lip-smacking finish.

Vintage Port 1970 Horisontal (Portvinsklubben 1981): Huge core of dark and intense black cherry fruit with impressions of butterscotch, coffee, chocolate and different spices like cinnamon/cloves.
Intense and explosive wine with a long and very complex aftertaste. Some sweetness left but kept in balance with a vibrant acidity.
Simply, a huge wine that lived up to the hype :-)
