Drinking 3 (one down so far and v enjoyable), selling (these) 3.
Bought from L&W in 2020 IB; stored at LCB Eton Park until delivered to me today (23/4/26); currently sitting in the Liebherr until the end of this auction. Screwcap/stelvin closure so zero cork risk and therefore PERFECT PROVENANCE & STORAGE.

"A classically styled vintage, the 2018 Chardonnay from Isole e Olena is a beautiful wine. Notes of peaches and candied lime on the nose, with buttery almonds and plenty of grip on the palate. The finish is long and focussed, and there’s stunning purity. Surely Italy’s best Chardonnay?" (Lay & Wheeler website which also describes the recommended drinking window as 2021-2030)

"The Isole e Olena 2018 Chardonnay Collezione Privata is a finely chiseled and precise expression. The wine benefits from cooler pre-harvest nighttime temperatures that have pushed aromas of apricot, waxy orchard fruit and sweet pear. The is a full-bodied white that remains remarkably light on its feet and lithe in character. This vintage achieves truly remarkable balance, and I don’t say that lightly. Luscious primary fruit and toast are measured against the wine’s racy acidity and its chalky finish. This is one of the best Chardonnays to be found in Tuscany."
