Jim Barry The Armagh 2005 is a benchmark South Australian Shiraz - purchased in its original wooden case - it is in immaculate condition.
A true pioneer of the Australian wine industry, Jim Barry was the first qualified winemaker to work in the Clare Valley of South Australia. Together with his wife, Nancy, Jim established his business in 1959, which was added to in 1964 by the purchase of a property with prime vineyards in the Armagh area. These vineyards became the foundation of their red wine production, culminating in the first release of The Armagh in 1985. The business remains in the Barry family, with Jim and Nancy’s son Peter now at the helm.
Under 1000 cases of The Armagh are produced each year, and only around 200 bottles
