Description

For auction: one bottle of 1985 Krug Magnum Format.

Sold in excellent condition for it's age, this bottle is from my own personal collection. Cellar tracker have rated 1985 Krug at 96 pts, with some excellent tasting notes.

"Light amber. Light residual mousse. At first it seems as though toast and caramel will be the order of the day, but with air, amazingly fresh citrus comes up. Full bodied, just incredible acidity and minerality along with some nuttiness. Pretty much perfect balance between the original material and the layers and nuances provided by almost 3 decades of aging. Magnificent aged wine rather than Champagne. What a bottle! "

It has been very well looked after and stored horizontally in cool and dark conditions.(Living in a 300yr old house has it's drawbacks, but stone flag floors and 2ft thick stone walls make for excellent wine storage conditions)

This bottle will be sent very securely wrapped and insured by Royal Mail Special Delivery, on receipt of cleared payment. Alternatively, collection in person is also fine. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
