"Since 1996, their Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de la Reine des Bois has been one of the stars of the vintage. The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de la Reine des Bois boasts a dense purple color, a full-bodied, opulent style, moderately high tannin, sensational concentration, and abundant aromas and flavors of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and spice. It is a meaty, fleshy, tannic effort that brings to mind the 1998. A brilliant wine for the vintage, it should be exceptionally long lived. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2025."

"Packed with layers of fig, raspberry and blackberry confiture flavors, this is long and fleshy, with lots of racy graphite and sweet cocoa notes. The long, ripe, defined finish shows great grip, with encores of fruit and minerality. Best from 2008 through 2025."
