Description

A beautifully matured Chardonnay from the Mâconnais region, this 1988 “La Fontaine” bottling from Jadot now offers vivid character, gentle tertiary notes, and the refined texture that only age can bring. Though the vintage may be less heralded, wines from the region and producer benefit from superb restoration of nuance and drinkability at this stage.

Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859, is a respected Burgundy négociant-domaine with vineyard holdings across the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and the Mâconnais. Their Mâcon-Villages bottlings deliver approachable Burgundies rooted in quality, clarity of fruit and credible provenance.

Excellent bottle condition with pristine label and capsule; fill level in neck. Provenance from a well-maintained private cellar.
