Lot 77
1949 Pierre Ponnelle, Le Musigny Capsule showing signs of slight corrosion. 1x75cl 1962 Sichel & Fils Freres, Batard Montrachet 1x75cl Believed to be circa 1940-1965 Bonnes Mares, producer unknown Capsule cut. 1x75cl Total 3x75cl Good levels and colour, labels damaged.
Recently discovered at a waterfront property previously owned by a pioneering British inventor on the South Coast. The collection lay undisturbed in the cellar since the early 1960s. The long-term storage in complete darkness coupled with the maritime climate, consistently low temperatures and damp cellar conditions has contributed to the ageing and preservation of the wine and their remarkable fill levels and colour.
After careful removal, the wines are now stored horizontally in a dark, stable environment. Please email our team for additional images or to book an inspection appointment in Newbury .
