About the wine:
Moulin Touchais is legendary for releasing Chenin Blanc only after decades of ageing, producing some of the longest-lived white wines in France.

Bottles from the 1950s are increasingly rare and represent the traditional, oxidative-resistant style for which the domaine is known.

The 1955 vintage was the vintage of the 20th Century for Loire sweet white wines.

At this advanced stage of maturity, the 1955 is expected to show a deep golden colour with evolved aromas of honey, baked apple, quince, dried citrus peel, spice and a waxy texture. Despite its age, Chenin’s naturally high acidity often keeps these wines remarkably fresh and defined.

A fully mature Loire white for experienced drinkers and collectors.
