Lot 24

Moulin Touchais, Coteaux du Layon, 1975

Moulin Touchais, Coteaux du Layon
Arrow

Description

Created in 1787, Domaine Touchais is one of the oldest wine Domaines in the Loire. After bottling the wines immediately after the winter, they are then aged in the cellars for at least ten years before release. This long ageing allows the wines to develop a wonderful character in the bottle while preserving the freshness of their youth. The Domaine is one of the few to offer such a wide range of vintages, which are often 30 to 40 years old or older. The cellars in Doué la Fontaine, retain some of the finest and oldest stocks of wine in the world.

Property of a retired wine merchant and previously stored in a fine Cumbrian cellar.
