Vineyard Information
Tsarine is is the prestige cuvée from Chanoine Freres, the second oldest Champagne house.

It was founded by brothers Jacques-Louis and Jean-Baptiste Chanoine in 1730, one year after Ruinart. The Champagne of Chanoine Frères, graced the tables of notables like Catherine the Great in Russia – 100 years before Roederer’s Cristal.

In 1996, Maison Chanoine Frères honoured the women of the Russian nobility who helped bolster Champagne’s popularity during the Age of Enlightenment with a Prestige Cuvee, Tsarine. The magnificent bottle mimicking the spires of St Basil’s cathedral in Moscow.


Vintage Description
This delicious mature Rosé is a must for lovers of complex Champagne. The Bubbles are very light, creating a gentle mouthfeel, but the flavour is remarkable and fresh.

The Champagne house would prefer a more youthful style on the market, hence the huge discount to clear; but we absolutely love the flavours in this mature version. Without doubt a true bargain.
